Americans for a Clean Energy Grid (ACEG) and Grid Strategies have released the 2025 Transmission Planning & Development Report Card, a national assessment of how effectively U.S. regions are planning and developing electric transmission infrastructure amid rapidly rising electricity demand.

The report evaluates transmission planning and development across 10 U.S. regions, examining whether current approaches are keeping pace with growth driven by data centers, advanced manufacturing, and economy-wide electrification. This is the third edition of ACEG’s report card.
