Thursday, June 13 (Washington, D.C.) — Today, the Senate voted to confirm three nominees — David Rosner, Lindsay See, and Judy Chang — as commissioners to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), bringing FERC to a full complement of five commissioners for the first time in nearly two years. ACEG Executive Director Christina Hayes issued the following statement:
“FERC works most effectively when it has a full complement of commissioners. Today’s vote in the Senate to confirm the trio of nominees shows a bipartisan commitment to maintaining a strong commission.
“As the overseers of the implementation and compliance of FERC’s recent transmission planning and cost allocation rule, as well as future actions to bolster grid reliability, these new commissioners have an important role to play in improving our electric system for the 21st century. We look forward to working with them and the full commission to enact policies that can improve resilience, lower customer costs, and drive economic development into the future.”
