Thursday, February 29, 2024 (Washington, D.C.) — Today, President Biden announced three new nominations to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. ACEG Executive Director Christina Hayes released the following statement:
“Americans for a Clean Energy Grid welcomes the news of President Biden announcing three nominees to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Given the lengthy process to vet and confirm nominees, we look forward to continuing to work with the Commission while these nominations are pending. This balanced slate of nominees is well-suited to an orderly confirmation process, and we eagerly anticipate working with them as commissioners.
“We also thank Commissioner Allison Clements for her service at FERC as her time as a commissioner comes to a close. She has been a prominent and effective voice in supporting policies that would encourage much-needed grid expansion and modernization, and promote the development of the 21st century grid America needs. We wish Commissioner Clements the best as she completes her term and embarks on her future endeavors.”
